The Conran Shop launches scented candle collection
This month, The Conran Shop launches a scented candle collection in eight fragrances chosen by Terence Conran and inspired by the scents and seasons of his gardens in France and England. Blended in the South of France exclusively for The Conran Shop, each candle comes in its own distinctive packaging adapted from the original graphic artwork from the iconic Conran Shop bags. With pure cotton wicks that have been woven for optimum burn (around 60 hours), the eight fragrances are distinctive and make the perfect gift. £25
The 8 scents
English Oak, reminiscent of autumnal days and falling leaves with soft oak wood smoke notes.
Night Jasmine, captures an evening in the South of France, heady and sensual.
Fig Leaf, fresh and green, this candle perfectly captures the soft milk-sap notes of snapped fig leaves in summer.
Tuberose, the most intoxicating scent, honey-like and floral with almost narcotic qualities.
Green Mimosa, just before it the blossom turns yellow, this is the first scent of spring in Mediterranean climes.
Lily of the Valley, the quintessential British flower of the month of May is noted for its delicate and ephemeral perfume but this candle captures its fresh scent perfectly for all year round. With a note of rhubarb added for extra freshness.
Rosewood, has a strong sweet smell that last and lasts which is why it was often used for billiard cues and chess pieces.
Pomegranate brings to mind French grenadine syrup, the delicious pomegranate drink which is so fruity and summery.
